OC Night Market 2014

It's time for 626 Night Market
at the OC Fair and Event Center

I'm looking forward to seeing friends,
good food, entertainment, and...

WAIT!
We're in Orange County?

OK, I feel better now...

We got here early and had a chance
to walk around.

This is a huge area with lots and lots of food

It answers that typical food questions heard at this type of event:
What do you want to eat?
Well, what do YOU want?
OK, what do they have?

There's something here for everyone.

See What Jay Eats...

What's a Night Market without
Fermented Tofu?
$5

aka...stinky tofu

Just follow your nose,
you'll find the booth...

It doesn't taste like it smells

 Thought this was interesting...

Deep Fried Squid
seasoned with different flavors

It was a large squid
for $8

The long line was an eye catcher too.
Who knew a fried squid with flavor seasonings
would be such a big seller?

Speaking of different flavors
We stopped for a spiral potato at
Swirl Potato and Lemonade

Fresh pressed lemonade too

Order In!

While we got our Swirl potato,
@KristieHang and I met up with
626 Night Market's @siushi

BTW, the Cheddar Ranch flavor was good.
I can see why it's a popular flavor

Visited our friends at the Ramen Burger

We got here early and no line so far...
(They had one of the longest lines of the day)

A must stop and always good to see them!

I wanted to try the NEW Shredded Beef Ramen Burger
I've heard so much about this new one from their Brooklyn pop up.

OC is a lot closer than heading to NYC,
but not sure if the pizza measures up tho...

Shredded Beef Ramen Burger
$9

I enjoyed it!

Ramen Burger Keychains
$6

May the Ramen Burger be with you, always...
Sorry, still stuck in Star Wars Day mode.

Maine Lobsters
from RAQ Lobster

Split and grilled.
Whole lobster for $18
or half for $10

More "sweet" items here in OC (Night Market)

Saw a lot of macaroons here.

Always good to see the Fluff Ice truck

Checkout their new Costa Mesa location

Saw Ariel and Mario
by Superinflated
in the merchandise area

There are merchandise vendors too,
but most of the vendors here are food related.

Lots of food, too little time.

Grilled Lamb Skewers

And a stop at one of 626 Night Market's
most popular vendors

Just look for the line...

A 24-Hour Pork Belly and Miso Chicken

See my Mama Musubi post HERE

Got my Toyama Black Mapo Ramen from Mattou Seimen
$7

I remember them from the Ramen Yokocho

I wished the bowl was smaller,
but I did like the bit of spice
and I'm a sucker for bean sprouts.
I still had a lot of food to try.

It was good seeing Simpang Asia (from Los Angeles)
at the Night Market, they have great Indonesian food.
